Fabrication

“Versatility” is one word that truly defines Steve's Plating Corp. and the capabilities that we have to offer. Our ability to turn-key your entire project, from engineering to fabrication to finishing, is what makes SPC a successful one-stop job shop. Our full compliment of fabrication services will reduce your number of suppliers, thus saving you time and money. In addition, we are constantly trying to improve and enhance our operations by adding new equipment and upgrading old machinery so that we stay current with the latest technology. This commitment to excellence will keep your project in good hands and under one roof.

Below is a list of some of our cutting and machining capabilities:

CUTTING

The cutting department is where most fabrication projects originate. Our in-house cutting machinery consists of steel blade radial saws, abrasive radial saws and band saws. We have the ability to cut round and square tubing (3/8” to 5” O.D.) and rectangle tube (1/2” x 1” to 2” x 3” O.D.). We can also cut solid bar; please call for limitations.

MACHINING

Machining processes include drilling, milling, punching and shearing. Our capabilities for drilling or punching holes in tubing range from 1/8” diameter to 2” diameter while shearing and punching capabilities in solid bar stock range from 1/16” thick to 1” thick. Punching slots and copes are also available.

BENDING

Tube bending, along with chrome plating, has been the backbone of Steve's Plating Corp.'s success since the very beginning. We have several mandrel-draw benders and two CNC bending machines that have the capability to bend round tube (3/8” to 2”), square tube (1/2” to 2”) and rectangle tube (1/2” x 1” to 1” x 2”). A wide range of radius dies are available; pleas call to discuss.

We also offer roll bending for your circular ring needs. Ring diameters range from 6” O.D. on up and arc bends are available to any size required.

Commonly bent materials include carbon steel, brass, copper and bendable aluminum alloys.
